Allred & Broderick - What the Fog
What the Fog is the soundtrack to an 11 hour film titled #monalisa by Jennifer Anderson and Vernon Lott. The film's primary directive is the capturing of people's engagement with works of art, in particular, the Mona Lisa. The use of slow motion in a crowded Louvre enhances the joy, the frustration, and the schism that exists with the way art is presented and the manner of engagement we've all come to accept. The music, by David Allred and Peter Broderick, lends an overall melancholy mood to the whole affair. It compliments the drama with expansive, reverberated trumpets and densely layered tonal washes of perhaps a synthesizer pad or an effected piano. Supermassive and humbling music to fill in the drama of viewing the Mona Lisa. Released on the Belgian label Dauw.
