Join us for a Zero Waste Weaving workshop hosted by Brooklyn based weaving studio and healing arts center: Weaving Hand.

According to a 2014 EPA report 19.4 percent of textiles generated were incinerated, and 64.5 percent ended up in our landfills. We will be working to weave away the waste on cricket looms while making a custom fabric. Please bring your own waste to be cut up and woven. If it can be cut into strips, it will work- old clothing, plastic bags, towels, sheets, yarn scraps, string, etc.
