Vivian Jones - Bank Robbery
Born in Jamaica but raised in the UK, Vivian Jones' debut album Bank Robbery is a superb rendition of early 80s reggae and dub. Backed by Undivided Roots, the rhythms were saved by Jones' persistence on the studio keeping the recordings and, in a flash, recording vocals for "Flash it and Gwaan" and "Third World Man." From there he sang about three more tunes that night, and solidified plans to complete the album with the original label, Ruff Cut. This reissue comes by way of the label Roots Vibration.
