Cabaret du Ciel - The Breath of Infinity
An extremely rich, and enriching, feat of folk ambient music that sparkles through the decades of experience brought to the productions by Cabaret du Ciel. Initially formed in 1986, Cabaret du Ciel hails from Treviso, Italy, and began as an ambient solo project by Luigi Morosin. In 1989 Andrea Desiderà joined the project, beginning a new musical approach, more focused on electro-acoustic instrumentation.
This album is of new works recorded in the past year, tracked as raw, live takes. It is replete with ethereal melodies from digital synths used, gently pushing onwards. Rarely is a grand climax the guiding tool used in the compositions. There are both beatless and downtempo, chill-out room tracks that would fit as perfectly at a NASA rave as they can on headphones or at home. Press play and let the beams send you off.
